Why a day is enough
The hardest part of building a website is rarely the building — it's the deciding. Layout, spacing, type scale, color, section order. A good template makes those decisions for you, so the only thing left is your content.
This is the exact workflow we use to take a template live in a single focused day.
Morning: content first
Before you open the editor, gather everything in one document:
- Your headline and a one-line value proposition
- Three to five benefit statements
- Logos, screenshots, and product photos
- Pricing, FAQs, and your contact details
Writing the copy first keeps you from fiddling with design while staring at placeholder text. When the words are ready, the build flies.
Afternoon: drop in and adjust
Import the template, then move section by section, swapping placeholder content for yours. Resist the urge to redesign — trust the template's spacing and type. Your only jobs are:
- Replace text and images
- Set your brand color and logo
- Trim sections you don't need
Evening: polish and publish
Run through the site on your phone, fix anything that wraps awkwardly, check every link, then connect your domain and hit publish. Done.
The secret isn't speed — it's removing decisions. Start from something good and the day takes care of itself.
